I’ve spent many years as a mom, and probably even before that, trying to figure out what it is I was meant to do. I felt like I was in the movie Groundhog Day, waking up every morning driving to the same job everyday , coming home to do homework, dinner and bedtime. I was missing out on my kids life. I was missing out on my life. I knew there was more than just working and being a mom. So then, I started this blog. It felt good to reach moms and make connections with people who felt how I felt, and there were many!
I then started dreaming. Dreaming of more. That’s when I started my journey of personal development. The journey was life changing. Building dreams can do that. And I want to help moms like you, build their dreams too. So, let’s start building dreams!
How to Create the Life of Your Dreams

Podcasts are a great way to become motivated and inspired. And many people who have podcasts are on the same dream building journey as you. The good news about podcasts is that there are so many you will definitely find someone who you connect with, and that has been on the same path that you want to be on. Also, you can listen to them whenever you want, during the dishes, in the car, on a walk with the kids!

Tip 4
Make Yourself A Priority.
As busy moms it may feel almost impossible to do anything for yourself. It’s all about the kids now. They are always first, which means moms are always last. However, you will find that when you do something for you, you will be happier- making you a better mom and having a better mindset.
According to Parents.com, it is not selfish to put yourself first. It’s actually essential to being a good mom. It doesn’t really matter what you choose, gym time, dinner with friends, or a shopping trip. Whatever makes you happy and feeling recharged.
Tip 5
Find some time for you.
I know what you are thinking, as I myself have thought it every single day. “There just isn’t any time- between laundry, cooking, cleaning, homework and all the mom stuff, there just isn’t anytime for me. Well, let me let you in on a little secret, everyone has the same 24 hours in the day- and some people find the time, while others don’t. So how do busy people create time?
Start small. Think about the most important thing you want the time to do? And how much time do you need to do it? Maybe it’s 5 minutes to journal or 15 minutes to read a book. Maybe you want a quiet hot cup of tea with no one talking to you. If you want a quick workout can you find 20 minutes?
Some examples of finding time is to wake up a little earlier, before everyone else gets up. Or start when everyone goes to bed and it’s quiet. Use the same time block everyday, this way your mind trains itself to do that activity everyday. If you want the time, it is that simple, you will make the time find you!
The point, find time for the small things you need/ want to do. Once you actively have them in your day you can add more time and more things. Doing something to start building your dreams, is better than doing nothing but dreaming!
